with the house shows starting up soon maybe they'll incorporate some ROH tapings into those shows...I agree but as long as the actual PPV's aren't being held in the Orlando studios they gotta start somewhere...if TK didn't give a s*** he'd just put it on youtube for free and you had ppl complaining about too much ROH stuff on AEW not too long ago so I'm not sure how well it'd work out filming ROH right before/after AEW shows

Could've easily done the tapings in Hammerstein, sell that place out in a week or two and generate some positive buzz for the promotion

I meant profit wise. The TV show is behind a paywall and being taped in an amusement park. He's basically relying on PPV exclusively to make money off of it

TBH the only two companies I could see getting ROH if it wasn't TK is either WWE or Anthem (Impact), but more than likely ROH wouldn't be around if either of those two have gotten the company.

Who would've been better that has TK/WWE type money? Jarrett would've been a disaster and would create TNA 2.0 when he took over, and Dana White would've been awful as well.

Ted Turner ain't doing it, Dixie is broke, Jarrett is awful when it comes to running a promotion, and Dana White is barely keeping MMA afloat these days.

It's slim pickings,lol and TK is the only one that was likely interested, otherwise folks would've lost jobs because they all couldn't fit in AEW nor WWE. Impact absorbing them made sense but they ain't got the deep pockets for all of that talent either.

I'm sure Anthem has the money, but won't spend the type of money TK did, even I don't think WWE would've done the same, but when you got that type of money, its whatever.

Personally, if The Elite go (that's even including Kenny at this point), and Punk/FTR comes back, and start featuring Hobbs, Cole, Hangman and others more, I wouldn't not be mad. and honestly their ratings won't take as much of a dip as many think it would. The Elite already aren't financial draws tbh.

Yea you'll have a decrease in dedicated Elite marks, but you'll also gain some supporters as well. In a perfect world both should be able to coexist, but if one group was to walk, I'm content if it's The Elite, they only got a few years in them left anyway, and it wouldn't surprise me if Omega retires soon. The only fear is if they go to WWE, which is now a possibility.

Impact’s relationship with NJPW is my favorite thing in wrasslin rn. Such a mutually beneficial relationship. Neither side trynna one up the other.

For sure. They’ve been making the right signings and consistently having the best ppvs over the last 2 years almost now. Last year was especially a model of consistency. Not a single miss.

And working with NJPW helps rotate in some fresh faces.

I definitely understand what Cody means when he mentions "losing that thing that made it special in the first place"...everyone talks about the media scrum mainly for Punk's portion but when TK was by himself talking at the end also was pretty telling...he emphasized how much The Elite contributed and continue to contribute to the company but also seemed like if they were to leave it's whatever to him and didn't exactly dispute any of Punk's comments at the time...obviously The Bucks aren't solely responsible for "that thing that made it special in the first place" but it'd just be crazy if all the original faces of the company when it was born left...I remember when Cody was still talking about TK as just "the money guy" in interviews...the show was promoted as Cody and the Elite start up their own wrestling promotion in its inception...if they leave there's still plenty of talent there who could potentially thrive more as a result but IMO you gotta keep some of those originals around to maintain what made it feel different than WWE...2019 all through the pandemic era and even 2021 it felt like the coolest place to be

I’d much rather have this happen than nothing at all or trying to fill arenas up that they can’t fill like TNA did. Just give it time, build it back up and start touring.

NXT is sort of in the same process but sadly Vince killed it by calling people up and never doing jack s*** with it.

Also who knows if power slap and whatever else comes on after fails and you fill it with ROH TV Tapings once AEW TV rights are up.

Impact went from taping a few months worth of TV few years ago. Now they do 2 shows of TV since they’ve done a much better job at building the brand up again

Conrad said a friend of his looked into the price and was interested in possibly purchasing it (likely Jarrett as you said)...I doubt Conrad wanted to have ownership over it himself but was likely a potential investor like he (probably) did when AEW started...no other reason they'd have him speaking at the first press briefing and on the first DON show being interviewed if he hadn't thrown some money in
