If I recall correctly Punk was number one contender before the pipebomb
He was suspended and then Cena called Vince out saying Punk should get the shot for the title if he talked that much s***.
Cena basically lost the title because he went face to face with Vince and Punk stole the victory.
MJF has a different story even tho he done a similar worked shoot promo.
