I know it’s a crazy theory but Rovert was tweeting about this during the HHH press conference at SS. Yet, this could be another way of HHH and Co, stirring the locker room with “everyone wants to come back home”. Or Regal was smart enough to do a one year deal just for the hell of it. Yet that angle they did with Regal an ambulance would have to be something that leads to his return.

Regal isn't doing the same stuff in AEW that he was doing in NXT...he was recruiting talent for them which he said he loved doing whereas he was basically just an onscreen manager in AEW and aside from the goofy s*** with Excalibur on commentary he wasn't given much else to do outside of the MJF stuff and when BCC first started...so with all that in mind I don't consider it a huge loss for aew if he goes back...definitely a bummer but they'll be fine
