Cody just saw TK as the money guy and underestimated how passionate he actually was about pro wrestling and once Tony started taking more control of things after 2019 it probably rubbed Cody the wrong way since he wanted to be the face of the company...I remember very early AEW lol Tony wasn't much of a presence at all onscreen or even off

Ultimately I think Cody is in a pretty great position now over there and AEW is overall doing better since he left so I see it as a win for everyone that they went their separate ways
