I know he's legit friends with Cody irl and considers him a mentor still that he goes to for advice...if there is some sort of heat between Cody and TK that led to Cody leaving maybe TK is punishing Ricky but that doesn't make sense either considering the cool video packages for matches that he's had and all that...clearly they see something in him but for whatever reason they aren't ready to jumpstart it yet...I think the range of emotions he showed on that episode where he had the open challenge, lost the FTW belt to Hook, cut that great promo, and got laid out by Hobbs was amazing...maybe if/when MJF beats Moxley they set up Ricky for his first opponent but also feel like Ricky should win the TNT title first before getting right to the world title
