Hope we get a CDQ version of Dance With The Devil whenever (if-ever) Batman Super Deluxe drops

Another one of these mid-90's songs that could have been a hit had it been released as a single with proper promotion, guy was on fire in 93-95, the beat f***ing slaps and that "titties swingin' like a door" line is hysterical

Wow. This was probably my most anticipated (full) unreleased song. I listened to a one-minute, then a two-minute snippet for years; great to finally hear the whole thing. The most energetic part is probably still packed in the first two minutes, but it's crazy how the song switches up afterward, especially toward the end. Great guitar.

dont think we are getting a batman super deluxe seeing they skipped over parade and around the world in a day and those seem to have more overall fan love.

Also what does everyone here think of around the world in a day? probably has the biggest range of highs and lows of any of his 80's records. Like some absolute career highs like pasley park, pop life and of course the PERFECTLY written Raspberry Beret. I guess the album is supposed to be somewhat of a trip. songs like the title track and temptation really work but some kinda fall flat and songs like tamborine leave me wanting more or at least for the idea to be developed on. Its super ambitious and it to come out so soon after purple rain is crazy. I like it but its probably one of the few 80s prince records im quick to skip around on.

forreal? lol. i never gravitated with it like that.Condition of the Heart I never really go back to in all honesty. Tamborine is...whatever. he's sliding on it vocally but it doesn't go anywhere. Never liked America (yeah I've seen a lot of love for this one so im sure y'all are gonna kill me for this one). lyrics and guitars are cool but it just doesn't connect with me tbh.

all the songs hit for me. In my top 5 prince albums. But i can say its not perfect. Theres def highs and kinda lows but overall it’s consistent imo. Never got the indifference for the album tbh

honestly I'd say if ur tryna get into prince just start from the beginning. kinda hard to just jump in from 1999 or controversy. it all somewhat naturally progresses

Around the World was that one stumble that kept Prince from a flawless streak.

    Imagine.

wouldn't say parade is flawless but its great and the risk he took with the album and movie s still amazing to me. one of his biggest artist statements ever.

  • Aug 6, 2020

The release STILL hasn’t been made available to pre-order in my country.

  • Aug 6, 2020

All the pain aside, though, the tune is remarkably wondrous.

Controversy, AWIAD, Batman are def. the black sheep of the 80's albums
