Matt Reeves himself says the film is grounded. Are you disagreeing with the director of the damn movie?

A directors goals can at times be different than what is accomplished. Its not fantastical . However to me the plot and writing we see isn't grounded. If you view it as grounded that is good for you brother. We have a difference of opinion on the internet. I dont know you. I will never know you in reality. I am not changing my opinion.

grounded is literally about writing. How can something be grounded without the writing and plot being grounded. i am not just talking about there is no fantastical. i am talking about a believable world. Being grounded is something like changing a character’s name from Cobblepott to Cobb to make it sound more like a real-world name… which is exactly what Reeves did to make the film more grounded

I am done responding to you . You dont read for comprehension. I even copy and pasted the definition of grounded writing for you. Grounded writing includes logical consequences and humans acting as you would expect them to in a given world. With a sense of logic that makes sense doesn't flip on a moments notice.

The clear example for me being a Riddler who spends most of the film focused on going against the rich floods the poor and attempts to assassinate the mayor that could help the poor after previously being focused on corruption for a streaming channel. Grounded also included grounded in sound logic in the world you created with the characters you created. Man smashes his head. Takes an explosion at point blank range and many other feats of humanity.

To me grounded is grounded in realism. Yes it has no clayface or fantastical elements but the plot and writing that occurs within the movie isnt grounded.

Portraying Chris Hansen as some predatory demon to the point you have him showing his kids footage of a pedophile showing their privates which never occured is bordering on hit piece. You are accusing Hansen of sensationalizing things for profit when that is what you are doing with fictional details that never occured then choosing to not show it to him til the last minute. Thats extremely dishonest. I am seeing the movie regardless I am not going for a fully accurate movie but I dont like how they are going about it. A movie like this fabricating details or talking about him cheating on wife and getting caught is so incredibly stupid to me and detracts from the point. S*** if anything hope they focus on how the show ended

I forgot its based on an esquire article which in many ways reads like a hit piece that in many ways equates perverted justice or sting operations to entrapment. I dont view to Catch a Predator as entrapment. Basing a movie on the article that played a large part in why the show got taken off air while predators continue to run rampant til this day leaves a mixed feeling for me.
