I agree, I think that's a layer to this, but right now especially recently it feels like there's an even newer evil. Gonna just take a jab at this and think that maybe the shift happened when it was that story about the guy who shot that kid point blank for ringing his doorbell. Then the girl who got killed for turning around in a driveway, and then the guy who killed his neighbor for using a lead blower. It seems like this has kind of kicked off an even more psychotic version of what was going on before. Especially this week with the manhunt in Texas for the guy who executed that family.
