love the first part of TV, beat is so hard

in a non hating genuine question way what does the dude do in the duo

They co-write and lay down backing vox, I think.

Adding this because Beflygelt has good taste

I figure you probably mean Angela but she's actually the g1rl, the singer June is the b0y 🙃 they're both trans

it is a good question though because Angela seems almost more like a creative director for the project, although she does co-write the songs and I'm pretty sure also DJs their live performances

from the P4k Exit 2B review:

"B0YG1RL is an “audiovisual project” helmed by Angela Rio, a Honduras-born visual director, and June “Tété” Vinette, a vocalist and producer who grew up in Broward County. The trans duo have been at work as B0YG1RL since 2023, writing every song together as they’ve built a cinematic identity and formed bonds with producers around Miami."

they also did one interview recently where they talk about the inception of the project being about wanting to bridge cinema and club music

on their youtube is a 20min short film directed by Angela from last year which is a mini documentary on their small queer underground scene in Miami, v worth checking out

my apologies wasn’t familiar with their lore! will def tap into this doc

ngl it took me a moment to catch up on this myself since June is a very femme-presenting trans man and Angela not an overly femme trans woman

what's worse there's also an Angelus in NOVAGANG who's also trans (nb) and I highkey thought they were the same person for a while

"only" a 7.4 from P4k after giving the prblm tape BNM
