Aight that’s fair I quit p*** a decade ago . I got food poisoning from five guys then said F*** it let me go vegetarian I went vegetarian was eating cheese like crack to rue . Shifted to vegan . Noticed how much better I felt . Thought I would be going to China to teach kids English because I signed a deal .they was ignorant ( I’m black ) . When I thought I was going I ate meat again . Stomach got upset but not for a while I tried a stomach cleanse that was free at work Whole Foods was being discontinued . S*** my brains out . Didn’t poop for a month . Had to have surgery because the hemmroid would kill me . 4 years later was vegan then pandemic was living in car due to credit score eating whatever I could afford Little Caesars was life eat a pizza in a sitting til you no longer crave food . I got an apartment and vegan again . I cook . I read nutrients . I don’t like consuming something that makes me suffer and comes from suffering . There is suffering from vegetable and fruit industry too but it’s different . No part of why I’m vegan is judgement of others culture . My grandpa loves lamb it affects his health but happiness matters . What ever helps you get through the day I’m for

real s*** I respect the hell out of you for what you been thru and overcome. and like u said it aint like there isnt suffering/exploitation attached to fruit and veg but if u come at it from like a utilitarian view, it's obv which is the right choice to at least move towards. ppl sometimes tell me "oh i could go vegan except for cheese" so im like "okay, be vegan except for cheese" and they look at me all shocked like lmfaooo. you gotta always be doing what you can do, work with what u got, etc.
