like it's possible a lot of countries are opposed to the idea of a russian invasion because they see it as just not right. and it's totally possible for those countries to also have not cared about when they invaded other countries in the past. would that make them insanely hypocritical? yeah... but it also makes a lot of sense.
the point is, russia invading ukraine is wrong. A lot of western countries are genuinely ideologically opposed to an invasion like this, they just happen to turn a blind eye to their own invasions of other countries. Doesn't change the fact that they think an invasion like this is wrong
