You know it's good that people are supporting Ukraine, it really is tragic and it's good that people are opposing this (especially from Russians). I really don't want this to be taken the wrong way.

But it's a sad realization that non-white people from the global south will never get this amount of sympathy and support from the entire world - in particular the West - when one of our countries is under attack. Our humanity and dignity won't ever get recognized in the same way that theirs is.

Like it's good to see people oppose war with a focus on the humanitarian impact of it, but it's just kinda like damn... Where were you all those other times

For a simple example of something they do with pretty much everything they have, I saw a story about a stationed soldier who was talking about how they would go through these high quality rags for cleaning up normal every day s*** (Like imagine you would use at a car wash or something). Like literally 20 dollars or something per each rag sheet and they're using them like a kid cleaning up spilled cereal with Bounty sheets.

They have such a ginormous budget they literally find s*** to waste it on so that the budget doesn't get cut... whatever cost these military contractors tell them, the military pays it. Even if its a 10 dollar roll of toilet paper.
