Finally, Russian military operations, along with Western sanctions, will drain the Russian economy, weakening Russia, or at least stifle its growth, and make it less a formidable US rival. Colonialism isn't just giving weapons, the Soviets didn't extract from Africa economically the way imperialist countries did. If you want to continue this conversation it can be done in the socialism thread. I have more thoughts on this but this not the thread for it.
