The people are not at fault at all
I know that the government and those in power have been oscillating between pro-Russian and pro-Western politics for the last 3 decades but the bottom line that we all know is that the people wanted Ukraine to join NATO and the EU
Considering this war is leading nowhere and is more in the detriment of Russia, I hope Putin's chokehold ends now and Ukraine becomes free to do whatever it wants - Feb 27, 2022

Russia created the conditions by annexing crimea and drastically increasing ukrainian willingness to join nato in self defence

She told her grandparents (who are both born and raised there) that she wanted to visit China and they straight up said "Baby girl, don't do that... There are a lot of hateful people there who will hate you just for being brown."
It's crazy to me that she wants to have the opportunity to connect with a part of her cultural heritage but can't because she more than likely won't be accepted. Sad as hell.
