Yes Russia should not invade Ukraine, but don't bring morality into it claiming Europe and US are "clearly the more virtuous allies" and are beacons of peace

if the goal is peace, i don't think it's shilling to say that there'd be a preference for ukraine to join the eu n nato n whatever. cus currently they're being invaded by russia, which seems rather not peaceful

read again: portraying the US, Europe and Canada (and Japan) as some sign of being the morally better choice for Ukraine is false.

We all know nazi ideology stems from these countries and not from Russia... we all know racism is still alive, we all see the consequences of it, even if you're white. We all know how many wars the US and Europe have waged in other continents and how many governments were overthrown illegitimately and how many civilians have lost their lives due to those insurgencies/invasions.

The fact that Russia has now brazenly decided to invade another country doesn't make Europe morally better or some kind of beacon of peace. Stop trying to gloss over this important fact.

to be completely honest, not even my country is that tolerant to any non-white refugees (anymore): The Netherlands.

And we are seen as this sort of enlightened, tolerant, foreward thinking progressive country... maybe when it comes to d**** and other things but not racism

it's not an important fact for the right now is it significant to... general world knowledge that western countries have done these things? yea. but in relation to the present situation between ukraine and russia this is literally irrelevant and if anything you're glossing over the important biz because u think this is the time n place to talk about the west's failures, overthrown governments, and deaths as russia is attempting all of that right now in real time in the actual country you're apparently trying to make a point about. n i said those countries would be preferable given the current situation, not a beacon of peace
