I think it's weird that people are trying to downplay the influence of Neo-Nazi's in Eastern Europe, especially when nationalism has been rising since the financial crisis. In part that America shouldn't be washing their hands of it also since it's partly their fault.
But folks also need to understand that Putin invading Ukraine is only going to worsen Neo-Nazi sentiment, not improve the situation of nationalism in Eastern Europe lol.
Fascism is fostered from devastation and devaluation and is born in crisis. Hostility from Russia is only empowering them. Russia is not some lesser evil, they're frankly really only justifying imperialism.

Doesn't excuse what the US has used it for in the pastTbh military aid in the wars they fight is one of the "payments" the component nations make to still be in such an organisation but it's the best solution we've got atm
