Why the hell would he know lmao
Nobody knows
Just trying to get him started
How is the creation of a buffer against NATO not a real a***ysis of his intention
he wants security from western threats and both sides of the issue made this topic clearly relevant when they were in negotiations
yes but again the threat of a NATO invasion is incredibly small.
I'm saying that from my perspective basically annexing Ukraine as a buffer is a) unnecessary b) way too costly
The point is that Russia invading Ukraine is not justified, it doesn't make much strategic sense, and there isn't something obvious like oil money we can point to. Maybe its the ports, maybe its just Putins desire for territory, maybe there's some hidden profit motive we aren't aware of.
all im saying is we cant be sure why exactly Putin is doing this, and no we can't just take him at his word. I'm pretty sure he doesn't believe his own "justifications"
it should 100% be illegal to advertise during coverage of s*** like this
Highly unlikely it will come to this
I mean putin clearly doesn't give af anymore, we said it was highly unlikely he would attack Ukraine, here we are tho
Also lol at this media companies calling this the "Ukraine/Russia conflict" instead of Russian invasion of Ukraine
Ukraine joins NATO
Ukraine invades the Crimea
Russia invades Ukraine
Article 5
But Crimea was illegal anexxed by Russia, is not recognized and is Ukraine sovereign territory
Why the f*** are you trying to explain to Easter Europeans itt why we join NATO, we know why

What may have caused the madness that took place in Ukraine in february 2022? To understand, lets go back a hundred years before that to a small house in New Orleans, where an unknown genius invented jazz
cause it’s real life not just political discussion but countries are going to have a lot of refugees probably
going to impact world economy gas prices and other stuff, travel, etc
people’s loved ones possibly
some people on here live close to that area
life/politics are synonymous in this context idk politics sxn seems a more formal location for this thread though. Otherwise what even is the point of politics
