same thing moron. Belarus is already in the Russian corner
Who you calling a moron b**** the USSR was way more than that ameribrained ass mf u dont know wtf you talking about lmao
that's up to the west
Even with no Western support, Ukraine wouldn't just be taken over like that
It would be a long and bloody war which Russia would lose eventually
Why is the only source we have on this whole affair Joe Biden?
I mean it isn't really. It's the only source that's being broadcast in Western media tho

I don’t speak Russian or Ukrainian
I don’t speak Russian or Ukrainian
There are still non-mainstream media outlets that also present different perspectives
Even with no Western support, Ukraine wouldn't just be taken over like that

not that many a***ysts believe russia would seek to invade the whole country
it's divided between people who think they want to strike quick and retreat once ukrainian civil society is crippled, grab parts of the east and south to connect to crimea, or simply not invade at all
the idea of russia pushing all the way west is still quite fringe

It's extremely fringe, but not the general population tho, you can thank the media for that

Probably true
Who you calling a moron b**** the USSR was way more than that ameribrained ass mf u dont know wtf you talking about lmao
That’s clearly Putin’s long term goal
It's extremely fringe, but not the general population tho, you can thank the media for that
you do have to laugh at the idea of russia wanting a buffer between itself and nato pushing all the way up to 3 nato countries on purpose
This is what liberals actually believe will happen
!https://youtu.be/z77JFw2D6f8didnt even watch but based off title alone are u implying putin would not want to be the leader of every single state that left the union?
america (imperialist force) obviously wants to take over the entire planet
russia (another imperialist force) wouldnt even go past eastern ukraine
that would just be fringe

I'm sure the Taiwanese government would like to take over mainland China as well, they still claim it as theirs. Doesn't mean they're gonna take any steps to maje that a reality because it's unrealistic

It's not just about what you want to do it's also about what you have the capacity to do and basing your strategy off that
Putin is a lot of things but he's not stupid, trying to take over all of Ukraine would only hurt Russia in the same way their war in Afghanistan did. Putin knows his history and isn't gonna make that same mistake
If Putin could snap his fingers and have the USSR back (without the communism ofc), he would absolutely do it
But he knows that any attempt at trying to achieve that would only weaken Russia
Russia has never shifted their public positioning on this since the start but everyone keeps tryna tell us war will start at any second. Obviously Putin can be shady behind the scenes but this doesn't look like someone who's "already decided to invade at any second"
aljazeera.com/news/2022/2/20/vladimir-putin-diplomacy-over-ukraine-crisis-must-intensify
Russian President Vladimir Putin said diplomatic efforts need to intensify to find a resolution to the Ukraine crisis, a signal Moscow may be ready to discuss ways to walk back the threat of war in Europe.
After a call with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday, Putin blamed NATO for “pumping modern weapons and ammunition” into Ukraine.
-
The Russian leader told Macron that Western countries should give concrete and point-by-point responses to demands set by Moscow last December to limit the West’s role in eastern Europe and ex-Soviet countries.
-
In the phone conversation lasting 105 minutes, Macron’s office said he and Putin agreed on “the need to favour a diplomatic solution to the ongoing crisis and to do everything to achieve one”, adding French foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov would meet “in the coming days”.

idek whos arguing against this
none of this justifies an invasion in ukraine nor do i think ur saying that so whats the point?
being hawkish towards a possible invasion of another sovereign state isnt a bad thing just cuz the US is acting hypocritical as if it doesnt engage in the same behavior
2 wrongs dont make a right
