START was essentially paused already. It requires NATO inspectors to go to Russia to gain access for observing their missiles regularly. That’s obviously not happening anymore and inspectors were already halted a couple weeks ago.

Personally, I’d urge people not to fall for these traps Putin likes to make but it’s a lost cause. Media will obsess for weeks about this while Russia just continues to kill Ukrainians and slowly but surely advance

It’s all an attempt to add pressure to a scenario the West knows they are suffocating in, but are trying to convince the public they’re not. We SAY we’re in it for “as long as it takes” despite no weapons plans. Russia SHOWS it. Prior escalations like the 300,000 troop mobilization have still not joined in yet. Those troops are just chilling in the back waiting for Wagner to finish their job rn
