This is such an Americana response
Because it’s sourced from an empirical study?
Nah what was it from ur point of view
It’s the deaths of despair phenomenon
You're the most bloodthirsty person ITT and now you act all offended
I’m not the one supporting Russia
It’s the deaths of despair phenomenon
Ok but arent most opioid deaths still from legal d****? It's just as much a physical addiction, one caused by the profitseeking of big pharma

What the f*** is a “deaths of despair” phenomenon
Despair from what? How does this dispel the material mechanisms driving the epidemic? It’s such a liberal answer where it’s all chalked up to some Harry Potter emotional behavioral moral deal
ah man...
my issue with this post is it could've been worded funnier
Both that, and the slumlord apartment response were both misses fr
I don’t care
If a NATO shill wants to come at my integrity I will say whatever
Plankkkton is clearly a soccer mom type of pill addict not a working class one

Life expectancy in the United States has recently fallen for three years in a row—a reversal not seen since 1918 or in any other wealthy nation in modern times. In the past two decades, deaths of despair from suicide, d*** overdose, and alcoholism have risen dramatically, and now claim hundreds of thousands of American lives each year—and they’re still rising. Anne Case and Angus Deaton, known for first sounding the alarm about deaths of despair, explain the overwhelming surge in these deaths and shed light on the social and economic forces that are making life harder for the working class. They demonstrate why, for those who used to prosper in America, capitalism is no longer delivering.
From just reading this book synopsis it seems that the idea is that capitalism is no longer serving those whom it used to, and therefore there are increased suicides, d*** abuse, and all that among whites.
While it is a valid issue to address there's that part in the periphery thats like... "Oh now you care because its happening to white folks," but capitalism has never served all these other groups that have been here the full time, because it can't.
Because you need socialism for that. Something that prioritizes the well-being of the people.
The U.S. could've gone further toward route even based on the constitution itself (The Welfare Clause),
But as we know it hasn't been interpreted like that
Also, the above book I posted thinks capitalism can be reformed. I disagree it has run its course.

Yea pretty much. D**** feel good people are gonna take them if available. They were over prescribed for a while and you had pill mills. Now we have the opposite problem where no one, even those that actually need them can get them, and addicts have to turn to street d**** often lace w fentanyl or outright buying fentanyl on purpose. S***’s f***ed.
None of us do
You don’t support Russia in the same way that Trump doesn’t support white supremacy.
You don’t support Russia in the same way that Trump doesn’t support white supremacy.
How so?
You don’t support Russia in the same way that Trump doesn’t support white supremacy.
Trump offered support to white supremacists even if he didn’t support the topic
I offer no support to any pro Russian rhetoric

Haven't we been over this? I don't remember what you specifically have said but itt I've seen:
"Russia is actually winning the war"
"NATO expansion is the cause of the war"
"The war is about protecting Russian speaking minorities in the east"
and worst of all
"Nazis in Ukraine"
I have three d*** related felonies and have lost very close friends to the opiate epidemic
Me making jokes about your dumbass NATO shill brain rot isn’t nearly as reflective of me as your clowning on tenant organizing efforts is
How so?
They claim not to support Russia but have all the same talking points of the Russia supporters

Why are you joking about it then. I am sorry to hear that though.

1. That just seems like a***ysis, although I don't think there are any winners in a war anyway. Especially of this kind
2. NATO expansion is one of the driving factors leading up to the war, but of course it's never just one cause.
3. Yeah that one does seem like narrative spreading
4. They actually do have literal white supremacist wing(s) in their army (Azov). However that should've been handled internally but wasn't. It still doesn't justify an invasion and war.
It's been months since this war began and people itt still think socialism thread supports Russia because we're not ready to bend the knee to Zelensky and praise NATO for being such benefactors
Meanwhile:

People joke about things they are going thru or have been thru to help with the pain often

Number 3 was @Scratchin_Bandit specifically. I don't understand that point of harping on any of these frequently if you aren't sympathetic to Russia. That's just my opinion though.

@Scratchin_Bandit was just on some spongebob s*** that day, don't mind him.

A better question would be, why are you clowning on tenants rights s*** when you’ve clearly never experienced having tenant issues yourself? At least I can say that I’ve dealt with d*** bullshit so I can joke about that. But you try to make fun of me for living in a slum (which I don’t) but you think it’s funny that I spend my free time organizing people in slums and actually getting things done while you have zero praxis to speak for
