I don’t really understand this constant allegation that Putin is trying to resurrect the Russian empire. Just seems like weird attempts at pathologizing political behavior. Even Dugin doesn’t really talk about the Russian empire as much as he does strategic geopolitics

putin "hates" lenin not because of ukraine. he's just using him for that chauvinistic narrative that ukraine is russia and it was artificially made up by lenin. same with crimea and khrushchev. nobody means communism by resurrecting ussr. just bloated and stillborn empire bullshit
