It seems the Ukrainian strategy is to pull out and withdraw from unwinnable towns, conserving troops and avoiding encirclement

Then they wait for the NATO weapons to arrive and move on fatigued and now more equally matched Russian position

    how come?

Azerbaijan is also an authoritarian state with serious repression

You'd also have to run the pipeline through georgia and turkey, most likely

It's essentially a matter of what will run out first- European public opinion or the Russian economy

    Both are under strain

What I don't understand is surely a better way to f*** with russia would be for the US and opec allies to crank oil and gas production to the absolute max and crash the price

    That's what keeps russia afloat

That would require governments to direct oil production and they way too cucked by corporate interests so nah, oil companies loving this

    Or the european economy

Euro economy is probably still slightly more dexterous

Because russias economy needs to sustain military production. If it becomes unable to build arms then it's out of the war

Saudi Arabia doubling their Russian oil imports so they can export more of their own to countries sanctioning Russia at a higher price

    Sanctions are working
