Its a bit hypocritical because why are assets of American billionaires not seized to help the middle east
I don’t see the difference really
America never wanted to annex Afghanistan or Iraq
Take notes for Putin
how much do you actually know about italy under mussolini in order to make a comparison to putin
America never wanted to annex Afghanistan or Iraq
Yeah god i wonder why dumbass
America never wanted to annex Afghanistan or Iraq
Oh really? US murdering millions of civilians, flattening cities to the ground, torturing women and children in cages, forcing millions to become refugees and destorying the countries to the point of no recovery is all justified now that we know they didn't want to "annex" them.
Thanks for this. Definitely much better than what Russia is doing now
A******. Btw US still occupies part of Iraq and refuses to leave even after the Iraqi government requested them to do so multiple times.

not to mention the fact the US literally did such massive arbitrary regime change in these countries that it fundamentally altered the course of history not just for these countries but for the entire region
like yeah we didn't "annex" the country instead we just literally destroyed the entire country, toppled the governments, and instated western puppet governments who stole tons of money and fractured the country from the inside out
how much do you actually know about italy under mussolini in order to make a comparison to putin
I'm literally italian

I don't justify it. It was bad. I was against it at the time as well, sure even if I'm wrong here, 'justification'implies I think it was right or good, which I do not
I'm literally italian
then you should know it's not a good comparison
if your only justification is because of Mussolini's imperialism then what you're saying is nonsensical because you said the US isn't comparable

With this being said, I was probably wrong. Yes it's true the Russians have wiped out entire villages, deported nearly a million ukrainians and conficated their passports, but I acknowledge it was a recklessly stupid thing to say- so I am sorry
then you should know it's not a good comparison

There's the whole dictatorship component too

You literally tried to paint it as being better than what Russia is doing now
Said what Russia is doing now is "worse" when someone asked why isn't there sanctions against US criminals.

I apologise, it was stupid, my bad, ill own up to most likely being wrong when the comparison is stupid, replied to you again

Dictatorship is just a matter of how authority is organized, it has nothing to inherently do with political positions. Historical comparisons are not good for this exact reason. I'm not just getting caught up in semantics, when you accuse someone or something of resembling a historical actor or situation, you can't pick and choose what is in resemblance and what isn't - you're making very clear suggestions about what actions are being committed and what responses are warranted. Things can be uniquely bad, they do not always need historical or contemporary comparisons.
