Weird as hell looking at both sides on Twitter/Telegram. You would swear they were both winning the war, lol.
Ukraine will never win this. They can hold out longer than expected because of Western weaponry. People who believe Ukraine can win, as in going back to the situation before the invasion, have no real knowledge of this situation.
It's now trying to get the best position for them, since Russia isn't as strong as believed. For negotiations, succesful peace talks I hope eventually. They will have to give up on the Donbas tho. They ain't winning that back
You might consider staying a sovereign country, not being a vassal state of Russia, as some sort of win tho. I think no one expected that to be possible at first. In that sense it's a win

almost as if Zelensky's Israel statement betrays the fact that the consensus for Ukrainians, should they retain a degree of sovereignty, will be a state of permanent frozen conflict that will require them to almost constantly be on guard, and therefore had nothing to do with any kind of colonialism
news flash for you, all of the countries in the world have majority patriotic populations and just because they love their country and national identity doesn't mean they hate others and want to do bad things
This is definitely not true

"frozen conflict" lol

Nah you not gonna be saying “free Palestine” in one thread and then refer to it as a “frozen conflict” lol f*** outta here

I think he means frozen as in seemingly perpetual, I don't think he means it in a derogatory or negative sense.

“Permanent frozen conflict” implies its somehow at a point of stasis, sanitizing the fact that Israel continues active aggression against Palestinians

I think you're reading too much into it, I think he's just implying it's unlikely for it to be corrected regardless of culpability because of geopolitics. I don't think he's trying to defend or sanitize actions of Israel.
Zelensky's Israel comment is only feasible if you believe Russia would accept a sovereign and armed Ukraine right now. I don't believe Putin is that dumb and would allow an ongoing perpetual conflict like that.

You realise ukraine and Israel are basically nothing alike as countries?
The Ukrainians have more in common with the Palestinians than most

Thank you
This is what I meant

I meant frozen conflict in the sense of Russian frozen conflicts
Palestine is not a frozen conflict. Should have been more clear but that's not what I meant to say at all.
Ukraine lost their AirPods
The war is over
Thank you

That's also how most people describe a 'frozen conflict'. That's how the whole separatist conflict was seen too before the invasion. They just playing semantics
This narrative wouldn’t exist if the Taliban/Saddam Hussein/ISIS sent photos of dead Americans to their parents
You love to legitimize Taliban every chance you get. As a Farsi speaker I find it sickening.
Taliban even took away your new year!
