To be honest, I don’t know much about that specific event but I’m also not resigned to the idea that Bucha meets the criteria for a “genocide” either. There is certainly some sort of ethical distinction in both of these events that set them apart from “civilian casualties of war”, even if its hard to find a good descriptive term.

I wanted to make this correction earlier but didn't want to be too pedantic. This specific event would just be referred to as a "massacre" whereas a genocide is more like a process of massacres and forced migration and various other actions of ethnic cleansing. The most notorious example is the My Lai massacre which fits into the Vietnam as genocide framework.

That said Bucha is still fresh and is likely inflated given Ukraine's obvious incentive and history of exaggerating numbers so far. I'm sure it's not entirely staged like Russia is saying but after the "theater bombing" in which nobody died it would be naive to take anything at face value. And again, it's important for Bucha to serve as an example of what is to come. The media unfortunately is not leaving much room for people to realize how much worse it can get.

Im gonna explain this by following your questions.

1, They keep voting for him because of stupidity. In the big cities most people are educated and woke, especially in our generation. However the villages ( and there are a lot of them) are filled with uneducated, old fools and they believe all kind of propaganda. These people are too far gone, orban can buy their votes with giving out potates( not a joke, they did that, and it succeeded).

2, no we don't want out of the EU, the people voting for him are so stupid , they can't even realize the gravity of the situation. Most of them probably don't know what the EU and Nato is .

3,Yes they absolutely believe the rethoric and he is a master manipulator, so...

4, Yes they are very conservative sadly. Most of these people grown up in communism and sadly u can't change them for the better. If they got trash food to eat and a toilet to s*** in, it's totally enough for them, to live in poverty fovever and glorify their god forever .

We, the young generation under 30 totally powerless here, best thing to do is grind our ass off, and when the ship sinks , just leave this s***hole.

Bro seeing s***ty white countries just breaks my heart. Like how TF coud you f*** this up!

It depends if you want to believe the Azov Battalion or the Grayzone which is an unfortunate spot to be in. The latter seems more in depth and convincing than the former when it comes to the level of investigation though. Again, any fresh news on this stuff is difficult to parse in real time.

The gray zone is like a million times more reputable than a f***ing nazi battalion considering its chief editor is a disillusioned member of the Blumenthal family

Whatever happened at Bucha is horrible and reprehensible. Anybody pointing fingers this early into its revelation has an ulterior agenda that they’re attempting to exploit this war crime for. We have absolutely no confirmation as to who did what, or even what happened in the first place

it's the boomers bro, not us. we try our best to make a change but listen: i saw a statistic today about the election, and orban got most of his supporters from the underdeveloped places of the country. In one of them villages he even got 100% of the votes. That means they are really enjoying themselves starving and doing communal work for 40.000 Huf ( that's 118 in dollar/month).

if they ride for him even in this s***ty situation and worship the dude like a god, how can you change them? words not working here anymore, it's over.
