Honestly I do feel bad for them and any other Russian citizens who are suffering right now. They had no say in this and are being fed complete BS from their government. She might not even know that Ukrainians are really dying from this "Special Military Operation".

I Said it earlier, but my manager literally has access to all news sources and believes what her parents and friends back in Russia are saying about the war (She doesn't even think it's a war). It sounds insane to us, but their freedom of speech pales in comparison to ours.

I don’t feel bad for her in particular, I’m sorry. She’s literally crying over not having access to instagram. And if its her “job”, then she can tell her followers to sign up for a different platform. She is privileged af in general to be a pretty white girl with a following.

IDK man.. Having your livelihood (whatever or how insignificant that may be) ripped from underneath you, for something you didn't even do or (likely) realize is going on, is pretty unfair.

Don't get me wrong, I support the sanctions and it ultimately was Russia's decision to shut down Instagram. We are doing this in the hopes that Russia will pull back and/or it's population will rebel. It's a great strategy and is better than going to war. But, I do feel sorry for people who have nothing to do with it getting caught in the crosshairs.

This doesn't make sense to me. If you're at your breaking point militarily you absolutely do not

    • start a new war that'll make life harder on your citizenry
    • destroy your perceived military might, and
    • open the door to making your actual adversaries stronger.

So this has to be feel good cap 🧢 fr.

yea thats what im saying. tons of these "experts" making outrageous claims that get popular but are seemingly totally baseless and wrong

he posted that 8 days ago and well...no collapse yet

Has there ever been a case of sanctions leading to a rebellion/revolution?

I don't think there was a single case in modern times. Lmao. The only one you could potentially argue for is Apartheid South Africa, but I think they would have fell apart even without sanctions.
