Let's be honest, nothing will change after the war in regards to the amount of Nazi's in the area or in the armed forces of either side

Oh there will absolutely be more hardline nationalists in the Bandera tradition. How could there not be. It seems to be the only cultural point they have to rally around and already a strong continent of militia ready for insurgency

iirc the discussion was about who Ukranian's look up to regarding interviews or something and you're here angry because someone mentioned that one of them was alt-right

give it a rest man if you dont want anyone to mention anything alt-right because it hurts your feelings stay out of the thread

  • Nato troops at russias borders is only an issue if russia gives them a reason to use them

Why don't they relax and embrace their new place in the world

    I'm not entirely serious lol

Bro. How are people still stuck on this Azov Battalion topic.

The entire f***ing reason why it was brought up in the first place was because of the US and other countries wanting to send arms and s*** to Ukraine. Which meant the eventual funneling of weapons into the hands of Nazi's. And in case the conflict gets bad enough where there is a power vacuum, AKA the perfect catalyst for far-right actors to rise up:

All Nazi's are bad, which is what folks have been saying this entire time. Yet when it's Ukrainian Nazi's, it's "oh it's a small unit" "oh they're not a big deal" "oh they're not REALLY Nazi's". Y'all learn about the Wagner Group after checking Twitter one morning and now you're treating it like it's a gotcha. The problem NOW is the focus that we DON'T try to give more power to another f***ing set of fascist paramilitary troopers lol.

    Dead this s*** already.

In October 2019, members of the US House of Representatives from the Democratic Party requested that the Azov Battalion and two other far-right groups be classified as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the US State Department, citing recent acts of right-wing violence such as the Christchurch mosque shootings earlier that year. The request spurred protests by Azov's supporters in Ukraine

    I'm still thinking more

Why doesn't russia just transfer to a market economy with free and fair elections. They'd have no reason to fear nato cause at that point nato would want them

Why doesn’t Autocrat Putin want fair elections? Why don’t oligarchs want to face competition in a market economy? These are tough questions.

    that's actually smart

Terrible idea if it's as simple as the video claims, imo. Who's to say the Russian populace won't be punished for having "the truth" sent to their phones. 15yr imprisonment for "fake" information, as determined by Russian authorities. If the populace starts getting mass texts from foreign sources directly to their phones about the war, it's more likely to start a purge than to end the conflict.
