I think any news source is gonna be biased to one viewpoint or another by default which is why we need as many news sources as possible to get as many perspectives on an issue and which is why banning any one of them is stupid and dangerous for the health of any democracy.

Freedom of speech means freedom of speech you don’t want to hear. That’s the whole point of it. And these dumb mfs miss it.

Neutral commentative journalism is a lie and more ideological than openly ideological journalism.

Even in non-commentative news reporting, what you choose to report is informed by your ideological biases.

Basically the only true neutral and independent news sources are livestreams of debates in parliament.

this is why im feeling kinda weird sharing my 'crazy Russian plight' with yall -- end of the day its still sunny outside and im able to walk out my apartment where I work. whatever it is that is happening to me is unfair compared to whats going on with my brother and my friends' relatives hiding in metro and basements and s***

even acknowledging that is kinda weird but I just cant otherwise, at least somebody will know what it is, especially for places such as ktt where its like 90% US 5% EU userbase with like three random English-speaking Russian dudes who can say something abt it from the inside
