Facts but I’ll tell you how I know that’s not the case

I’m completely objective and I don’t care about narratives and I listen to BOTH Drake and Kendrick strictly for their talent alone. And at this stage in their careers I really don’t have a preference for either both give me something the other can’t and they both are kneck and kneck in my top 5, probably won’t be able decide who is ahead of the other until they are done. I’m listening for artistry flows creativity etc. GNX was great, Kendrick out musiced Drake in the beef and embarrassed him for a year and a half, all that can be true but it doesn’t automatically make Iceman garbage. That’s the echo chamber part of it. People aren’t listening to flows and production and creativity. People are listening to narratives, I am NEVER on that time. I objectively appreciate the talent and artistry and rapping ability of all 3 of Drake Kendrick and J Cole, and I wish I could shake all of their hands (well one I already did but yeah)

That said though Iceman is a classic and easily one of the best commercial rap albums of the decade

Anyone else wonder how many tracks / verses / hooks Drake wrote on Wayne only songs?

I remember "I'm single" and the fact Drake might have been involved on it. I feel like Drake probably wrote at least a few popular hooks, some spots of Wayne's more melodic / singing autotuned tracks.

They must've kept those reference tracks under lock and keys though lol.

Time will tell how this ages, but in an era of living moment to moment this felt like a true monoculture event in music. We don’t get many of those anymore and for that it deserves its credit. The music being good too is a a check plus in my eyes. Not sure how anyone as a fan of Drake would look at what we got in total and not be satisfied
