Has Drake even acknowledged Yachty post-beef?

Iceman is a 7/10. How do you even compare it to his classics???

Yall so quick to blurt out s*** but wtf is your 7/10 rating actually based on other than how you “feel” lol?

Like if you rate an album a 7/10 that means if you add up all the scores you give each song and divide it by 18 you get a 7/10

What songs you rating less than an 8 on here?

Like really what songs on here when you actually a***yze the raps and production amount to a 7/10 by 2026 standards?

Like you are entitled to your opinion but let’s back it up with some actual substance all this random assigning numbers to s*** be seeming arbitrary asf

Man I wish XXL and The Source still did reviews

They weren’t perfect and had issues too but at least they represented black culture

    Love magazines

  • Jbreezyondeck

10000%. That feels like a v1 album cut

Always felt like it sounded like a would-be intro track between how volume slowly builds at start -> no drum rapping -> hard beat switch where he’s like “fuck a rap beef”

Loved that song easily my favorite from $$$, feel like it would’ve gotten rec if it was on this

even though dont worry is probably my least favorite on the album, the melodies he was catching on the verses almost made up for it. he sounded like he was really having a lot of fun making that

Genuinely think that’s the only skip

Genuinely think that’s the only skip

yeah the main melody he uses is kind of obnoxious, a handful of cheesy lyrics (the nicki and cardi line, and the Farsi line to name a few)

but when he starts on hating on these niggas? those melodies were actually really good

As much as I love this project and its a classic imo I feel like more people would be receptive to it if he started the decade off with this level of quality

CLB had hella hype and he was pretty well liked back then, if CLB was Iceman level heat I think the narratives would be a lot different now. CLB dropping and pretty much being just another Drake album after all that waiting and hype really left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths in terms of evaluating Drake as an album artist

Now he finally drops the 2020s classic we all knew he was capable of and a lot of people are sleep because they’ve already written modern Drake off as an album artist so they make assumptions, they believe the 1 listen hate reviews and click bait, and they skim through with preconceived notions at best for no other purpose than to validate their assumptions “See just another Drake album 🚮” it’s definitely lazy on their part but Drake striking out so many times definitely didnt help

This album is great but people acting like he hasn’t been making quality albums his whole career are out of their minds. He’s had a few dud songs here and there but take some of the stinkers off and his studio albums are phenomenal. Mfs act like 2-3 bad songs make an album as a whole terrible.

Especially Scorpion, that album gets so much hate and it has some incredible tracks like what are we talking about

I totally agree but when you are big as Drake it’s pretty much classic or bust

Also it’s not so much that his albums had a few skips here and there that rubbed people wrong it’s the fact that they would be all over the place and aimless in a lot of cases production wise genre wise narrative wise even mixing wise. Drake albums kinda became more like 20+ song long playlists of the latests s*** he’s recorded which isn’t inherently bad but it goes against the precedent set by Ye which was the previous culture defining rap star

Yachty took such a weird angle for no reason. He was part of Drake's inner circle for a bit and decided to suddenly play neutral when talking about the beef.

He could have easily said Drake is his homeboy, rappers beef and added some random filler.

Kendrick doesn't care about Yatchy and most of the dudes against Drake don't either lol. Just an all around stupid move for him politically
