I dont think Cole is that guy in real life, that some people think he is. Or that stuff about being "peaceful" is the way to look at things. Something he hides behind, because he just seem really lazy.
If anything, he seems pretty unsure of himself and it affects his relationships with people. I feel like him being distant and detaching is actually a pretty toxic way to handle things. Behaving that way can actually create more frustration and resentment. A small problem, becomes a bigger one... because one feel easier about avoiding... rather than getting to work or dealing with it.
