I agree with your statement about 2009-2014.

A big problem I have with the criticism of the album is that people are judging Drake personally and criticizing his own outlook on his life that he expresses in the music. I don't view that as valid criticism for a song. Self expression in music is good, even if you disagree with it in some cases. You aren't their therapist and you have no personal connection to them you don't have to agree or disagree with how they feel.

If someone felt as though he was doing a poor job at expressing how he feels that would be valid criticism, but for the most part he isn't. You can listen to the album and get a clear picture of what's going on in drakes head and he is sharing it in ways that sound good.
