But in all seriousness, I still think what he's trying to convey with the beams is the fact these beams caused, I quote directly from thew website extreme violence caused by their massive weight but if you read deeper, the actual implied message from the artist is
each dropped beam is like his body that falls and slams into the ground....often created extreme situations pervaded by a sense of danger, which have challenged the physical limits of the materials and questioned the stable categories of power and status
Long story short: Drake (in my opinion) is trying to tell us that these beams are a metaphor for what he's going to drop which is dangerous, which are materials not used commonly, which challenge what's stable and safe. It fits everything else he's been hinting at, so I'm running with it.
