If FM had the momentum and fervour that NLU got, the label would’ve ran with that and it would’ve looked like a coordinated anti Kendrick corporate America hit. Funny enough my cousin got married this weekend and they played NLU which was the first time I had heard it in a grip. Definitely a real hit even though I swear I’m not saying this to hate I don’t think it’s really a good song in the sense of traditional hit (has a lot of quotables though undeniably). Kendrick dropped way better songs during the fiasco than that one. Interesting it’s the one that took off though
