These people are completely f***ing deranged
Genius editors the dumbest mfs alive. I used it for one song and they were calling obvious shots at Kendrick, shots at Kanye. No literacy
FATD is one of his top 3 albums we will have that conversation one day
FATD is overhated.
I enjoyed it a lot, when it came out. But in his overall discography it's in the middle of the pack.
Imo he has no project that I would rate lower than a 7/10.
Are we getting merch and tour or prob not?
Merch was already out on ovo
Wdym? I haven’t seen anything

These people are completely f***ing deranged
what the f*** lmaoo that isn't even the line. rap genius really ed these days
"I see my only uncle lookin like there's s*** that I aint owning up to
And if he said the way he really felt I'd probably see his side because I'm old enough to"
most likely saying his uncle looks at him and places a lot of blame on his for personal issues/familial problems and expects drake to own up to that eventually
and drake thinks if his uncle spoke his mind he might be able to understand him since he is the breadwinner megastar focal point of the family so he can understand why his uncle would place so much responsibility on him
anyone who makes the most money in their family can relate to that
Just a hoodie n that’s it? I’m sure there’s more. And a $300 hoodie wtf
Yup that's it. I'd love some more merch and a summer tour announcement
still respect to Jaylen Brown
decent to good NBA player
seems like an intelligent, and generally good dude
terrible opinion on music though
https://twitter.com/FCHWPO/status/1861533075559072026would also say that in general the rabbit hole is deep
he's managed by 2 main corporations, m88, and The Lede Company.
m88 - co-founded by Charles D. King, a guy behind a lot of Black films of recent years, most notably Judas & The Black Messiah, which has a rare guest rap verse from who?

and The Lede Company is a PR firm with strong ties to the Roc. They aren't officially under the same umbrella, but they've partnered up for events together before. not only do they support Rihanna's PR but with Kendrick Lamar and pgLang.
when the Los Angeles Fire Department needed crisis management support, they hired The Lede Company on a direct recommendation from Jay Brown, the co-founder and CEO of Roc Nation.
"Last summer, the Los Angeles Fire Department enlisted a public relations firm to help shape the narrative around its response to the Palisades fire as it geared up to release its long-awaited after-action report.
The optics around the devastating fire hadn’t been good.
A Times investigation revealed that top LAFD officials failed to pre-deploy engines in Pacific Palisades, despite forecasts of dangerously high winds. Mayor Karen Bass ousted the fire chief. The thousands of residents who lost their homes were growing increasingly angry. City and LAFD officials were concerned about how the report, which was intended to examine what mistakes the department made and how to avoid repeating them, would land.
“While we have a section that deals with press inquiries, media, and interview requests, they are not equipped to deal with what I call a ‘Crisis,’” LAFD Deputy Chief Kairi Brown wrote to the Lede Company in July.
The Times obtained the email and other materials this week through the California Public Records Act. Brown wrote in the email that his brother, Jay Brown, who co-founded the entertainment company Roc Nation with Jay-Z, recommended the firm."

niggas will call me a conspiracy theorist for pulling up with the facts but i don't care
It's not conspiracy. The politics align. Of course Jaylen is going to rock with the artist who comes off very pro-black and morally upright.
idgaf man
I can't take niggas seriously who let a company pay / incentivize them to give out negative reviews to sway the general public
it's sad bc a Jaylen Brown is a guy I more or less f*** with as a person, he does great work off the court, seems like a good person, but we gotta stop letting these corps pull the wool over our eyes and pay for opinons
It's not because of incentive he dislikes the album. He might legit take some of Kendrick's claims from the beef seriously. That would explain believing there's no story. He's expecting Drake to clear up all that stuff and reestablish his moral center.

I was reading this review, creature of habit, from the days where pitchfork had sway……my thing is, what’s so wrong about an album that’s expressing dejection with the music industry? Like yeah it’s obviously very bitter and defiant. But that’s what this album’s central theme is. It’s probably his one true concept album. It’s very cohesive as a tone of music and the sentiments he’s putting forth.
Idk I find it very fascinating as a listen as someone who’s had a lot of Drake critiques over the years. This is the most meta album of such magnitude ever made. Like yes he’s very much at war with his label and yes there’s a lot of money at play and yes a lot of his peers don’t f*** with him. People don’t like to indulge him for this but it is interesting and compelling as a listen.
I’m really curious what a Drake x Conductor album would sound like. Particularly, what flows he uses.
