It’s a light reference to the Kendrick line cause future and Drake are much deeper friends than Kendrick future . Kendrick just saw Opportunity of like that and future / team knew Kendrick being on it gets them eyes of casuals who wouldn’t listen without a verse like that .

shaleiroseI miss him having a few things in the music, and one is structure. Whether it’s a legit pop song like HOWGH, Hotline Bling, One Dance, etc. A truly structured song with a verse, chorus, verse, chorus… feel like he’s too attached to switches/pivots or simply just these streams of rambling he goes on and he strays from structure.
Love the albums too but this is one of my criticisms of them (especially HABIBTI) and newer Drake music in general. He's abandoned structure completely for beat-switches

For context: The Fall-Off and Don't Be Dumb both debuted with 35M streams. The Fall-Off ended up doing 167K in streaming units first week and Don't Be Dumb did 78K.
HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR debuting with 27M and 29M respectively means there's a very real possibility that neither of them reach 100K first week if they don't hold strong enough
