He’s comfortable in this 30 for 30 pocket that it’s kinda became a crutch. It’s still some great rapping nonetheless. The structuring of these songs is something new that’s becomes a bad habit but it’s working stillYeah, the pen is ridiculous and bars will make you screw face. But he could do that over some s*** like Lord Knows and chooses not to! Idk. Like I said I still think Iceman is f***ing ridiculous but I can understand the take

Don't Worry imo is an unnecessary burger of a track that just drags on for a minute or 2 too long. Doesn't really fit in the sequencing of the album especially towards the end of it.

shaleiroseI miss him having a few things in the music, and one is structure. Whether it’s a legit pop song like HOWGH, Hotline Bling, One Dance, etc. A truly structured song with a verse, chorus, verse, chorus… feel like he’s too attached to switches/pivots or simply just these streams of rambling he goes on and he strays from structure.
Love the albums too but this is one of my criticisms of them (especially HABIBTI) and newer Drake music in general. He's abandoned structure completely for beat-switches
Yeah, it can kill the replay value too. Like bars are witty, but sometimes the melodies and structure are lacking, mainly on the R&B songs. And his lack of going for a pop hit since Scorpion saddens me a bit too!
May 16F*** it, it has been 24 hours and I might dare to say this a top 5 project of his. Given the context it might be top 3. For him to be in the late stretch of his career get hit with an L like the one he had in 2024 and start to get called all kinds of names and allegations, and for him to comeback and shut everyone up has a huge merit.
