I'm not that worked up over it I'm just confused kinda

I've never seen anyone have issues with a rapper being mean or bitter. I don't think it's a persona I think drake is genuinely bitter and doesn't like most other rappers. That's just him being honest in his music

As far as him not being good at the little shots or subliminals idk the other people always get worked up over it so it seems like he's doing something right

It's just redundant to me. I don't mind bitterness, just coming from him it's kind of pitiful for me as a listener. If it was done a certain way, and potentially from a certain person, maybe it would go over better for me. I can respect him being honest if he's that bitter for real, but it just doesn't make for good content in my opinion. I don't listen to Drake with extreme bias for him as a person. If he makes good music like he is known to make, it goes into my rotation. If not, it's out. Simple. That type of s*** he does makes him come off emotionally immature to me in a way that I just don't rock with sometimes. But like I said, if you see it different, or like it, that's fine man.

Oh and none of it comes off as "mean" to me lol it's more hurt puppy than mean.

And let me say again, I enjoy the album. I enjoyed MOH too, and a lot of that comes to him not taking s*** too seriously and just having fun. I think on the first track of Iceman he struck a really good balance on that track to give you an idea of when I think bitterness is done well. I felt like he said just enough, made me feel him in a way I haven't in a while, and didn't over do it.

So much of the immediate discourse has been about the beef. I am of the opinion Drake needs to just keep making music but I really don't think he's capable of making music that isn't just "I'm the best, I f*** b****es, I get money, but omg it makes me so sad and I got opps man...." People know drake is an immature manchild who's been rich and famous his whole life. The first track is really good, It's really introspective, I doubt this will really be enjoyed or have longevity by anyone but the hardcore drake fans because it's just more of the same from him.
Drake needs to stop throwing shots with pillow fists and hit the gym, get some real muscles

Tbh in my eyes he can send out little shots till the end of the time and it will seem pretty reasonable to me

Drake isn't that good at it to me. That's not his strong suit in my opinion. This just adds to a bitter persona in my book that is off putting but again, if you like it that's fine bruh. I personally could do without it. It doesn't mean it ruins the whole album, it doesn't mean I don't like Drake overall, or anything like that. Relax.

I will never get behind the s*** stans do where you can't have any critique of an artist even if you like them. It's either everything they do has to be perfect to you or you are an enemy. It's ridiculous. And it's not just Drake stans it's every artist.

Drake has seemed emotionally immature and vulnerable his entire career. To me the honesty in his music is a main part of the appeal. Its very good content imo and it's interesting seeing someone in a top spot like that being so honest in their music

I guess I can't see the "hurt puppy" thing because in my eyes Drake has very valid reasons to feel bitter towards most of these people. I take it as less of "everyone is mean to me please stop" and more as "everyone wrongs me and I'm going to acknowledge it".
