This is why I can't take any music reviewers seriously. It's mostly narrative driven. The narrative is Drake can't make a modern great album so people will ensure it never gets that universal praise regardless how his albums sound.
Time will be kind to them though it always is. His fans have been here time and time again at album release. I feel a lot of us as his fans would be the first to say if it wasn’t hitting there’s clearly quality music here. Not all hits some misses but it was one of the most ambitious moves in music history for an artist of his stature
