its a uniquely american black word that is very weighted and seperate even in the same diaspora
its him being canadian (moreso not amaeircan) while "cosplaying" as american - it is not about being half - meanwhile he literally calls his son black and is/was friends with jcole for over a decade
Not sure about that point about us not using that word - in my experience, we use that word pretty regularly
