Think back to the early days of buying music for me. Pops drove me to Target in 2010 to get MBDTF after school.
Saved up my allowance to buy 808s on iTunes - first album I ever bought with my “own” money.
Had a collection of over 100 rap albums on disc on a shelf in my room.
S***’s different now, streaming makes us value each individual album less.
There’s something about having to go out of your way to go to the store and buy something. You remember what the weather was that day, what you were gonna do after.

Artists don't make nearly as much money from streaming as they did from physical media so now less effort goes into the music and artists are forced to put 100 songs on 1 album and albums have no direction or thought put into them
