1996 BRLI've always thought we could potentially have more albums considered as classic worthy if we trimmed down many of the bloated albums out there down to single vinyl length/sub 45minute, CDs being introduced made folks decided that they had to jump upto filling out that 78 minute length that CDs offer
Although obviously it still wouldn't be guaranteed because folks would still need to have the curation/vision to know which songs they should keep or scrap.
Busta Rhymes Anarchy, Jay-Z - Vol 1 & Vol 2 etc. etc. could be received better
More Life being 15 minutes shorter could be game changing for it getting repeated spins
I generally agree. For me, once you pass like 17 songs, there is at least 5 or so that could be cut to make it better. Miss the shorter albums from the 90s/2000s but streaming has f***ed that up fr
