It's a big undertaking. First of all the big names still have a hard time making a profit worthwhile. We've see a lot of places like Datpiff and Mixtape websites s*** down. MTV shut down, no one wants to buy Complex, etc. No one's really going to the theaters anymore, there's a huge discussion to be had about people not paying for art anymore and that has a lot of factors on why that is

But to stay on topic I could see Drake wanting to, for controls sake but will he actually do it? I have a feeling 100gigs was more than anyone has suggested. That in itself had a lot of planning and might have been a big undertaking for Drake. There's a reason we haven't seen anyone else try something like this. It could have been a test run to see how he would handle a small scale multimedia website with music + videos

It was probably very expensive and it's only been a day and a half. It's not cheap to maintain that especially without ads, not even Spotify could survive without them. I think 100gigs will be down by the time we get the album and Drake will have used the experience as a way to judge if he really wants to get into this. Even if we assume he's a billionaire a streaming platform is going to eat a huge chunk of that fortune before he ever starts breaking even
