I think Views had the general public tapped in too. Fans will always show up for big artists like Drake, Ye, Kendrick, Travis but all their more commercial albums (like Graduation, Views, DAMN) have had huge singles and support of non-fans too.
Also how people listen to music has changed, even if FATD was hypothetically more anticipated by anyone, I don't think it'd do Views numbers because people don't buy digitally and only stream music this decade.
