Finished Honestly, Nevermind.
This is what Drake is capable of when he locks in and makes a focused, cohesive album!!!
Loved this album in 2022 and love it even more today. I think this is arguably his best display of songwriting across an entire project ever. The emotional vulnerability and bareness present in each song is incredible. I love how the musicality also takes a big front seat on the entire album, more than any other Drake project where he's the main event for most of the runtime. So many great musical moments like the long breakdown on Falling Back, the big buildup and drop at the end of A Keeper, the drop in Massive, and the guitar sections in Tie That Binds. I love how it all manages to feel so cold but also warm at the same time.
For me, this was the first Drake project in a while where he just let the MUSIC do the talking, and it felt like he had a clear artistic goal in making the project.
I know people have complaints about the singing not being good on it or the album sounding like a Fisher Price version of house music, but I disagree with those criticisms. On the singing point, the vocals on here sound just as good or bad as his vocals on any other one of his projects, so if you don't like them here you probably just don't enjoy Drake as a vocalist, which is fair. And for the complaints about this being a basic house album, sure, I can see how one might walk away with that conclusion, but I don't think this is trying to be some ultra-representation of dance music overall. This is Drake's version of downtempo, mellow, deep house music, and in that context I think it succeeds brilliantly. 8/10
Would this be a classic album to you? Or have the potential to be in time?
it's OVER

It's a personal classic. I don't think it's a cultural classic since it didn't have the same effect on the general population as it had on me
Why would he not reveal any information at all? What is up with him
This reeks of “I’m scared of trying hard and flopping so I’m gonna drop with zero promo so if I do flop I have an excuse and if I don’t I look even better”
I don’t like this. Makes me nervous
i'm thinking more on the lines of
i dont need UMG's promos or marketing
my brand is big enough i'll still sell 400k-600k first week
it's a huge gamble, but if works in his favor he'll have more leverage with negotiating
lol I never said I believed that theory.. someone itt asked for a breakdown so I took the time to do it.
If you on that side STAY ON THAT SIDE. We are OVO round here.

I know white bread not good for you but man there’s not many things better than an overly buttered thick piece of toast ❤️

Crazy thing is that's actually the BACK of his neck!
