this is why i don't listen to popular opinion on this online forums. its always based on being contrarian. graduation was the most obvious classic. it flowed very well, had impactful and cultural hits, and had songs like I wonder and homecoming. felt like i was losing my mind when people said it wasn't a classic
same with views. i remember riding my bike in highschool listening to it and thought was amazing. just to go online to see people s***ting on it

Feels like it’s following the Graduation trajectory
Only difference being Graduation was immediately embraced as one of the biggest albums of all time. Every single song (except D&HG obviously) played on the radio nonstop for like a year. Stronger and Good Life were inescapable. Not to mention it was instantly incomparable to any of Ye's albums, or really any album ever made before. Not to mention the music videos.
I love Views, but it objectively didn't have the same influence or break the mold in Drizzy's repertoire the same way at all. Lastly, I just take issue with the phrase "the Graduation treatment" because it's revisionist history— it really was a uniquely instant classic that everybody was listening to when it dropped.
