The album’s performance did, yes, but Drake himself on the album doesn’t sound as confident as he did on NWTS or IYRTITL, it sounds like he’s trying to convince either himself or everyone else that he’s who he is
ok that is much less ambiguous and makes sense yes he was more confident on the previous 2, I think he really was in his pandering bag a bit too much on views would be my only critic, and I attribute lack of confidence to be in response to those 'we want more vulnerable take care drake back' criticisms circulating at the time. im glad on more life he scrapped a lot of that s***

I just think he's catering to every fan on Views but I don't think it's a lack of confidence. IYRTITL is gym music for the most part
I hope takes shoots at Trump an USA, because Trump and USA have disrespected Canada big times.
One of the biggest music starts of today climate is from Canada, I hope he stands up for his country

yea but even on s*** like you and the 6 jungle and company tho (non gym songs) his energy on IYRTITL is just so much more palpable and electric tho I will say. like that bravado is just swaggering throughout IYRTITL and for a good part of nwts too

It's a different approach fasho. For me, the lack of confidence angle doesn't really make any sense when Drake was coming off the high of mollywhopping Nicki Minaj's ex.
Was the music he was rapping to on that video shoot only in a frequency owls can hear or sumn?
How tf we didn't get song audio

Was probably not played out loud intentionally to avoid snippets & leaks
tbf its hard to match the confidence of a project that opens with the energy of
"IF I DIE ALL I KNOW IS IM A MOTHER F***ING LEGEND"

def, that's why I asked for clarification on last page cuz this album really was where he hit that ss4 peak lol
Kbots hung up on 2 year anniversaries, they don’t know the boy about to kill em
Catch em when they least expect it
He going to have to do a lot to combat the amount of hate post beef I really wonder which way he goes

It doesn’t make sense in that it’s completely idiotic. Anyone who listens to Views and their take away is that “Drake lacks confidence” is faded af

Yes but even though he won that beef, he was also now seen as the guy with ghostwriters, so his reputation still took a hit from that
Drake <3
cant be a coincidence he's dropping this right around the anniversary of the beef
I mean it can . It’s a good time to drop in general . The beef was all 2024 there isn’t really a time where he could drop where fans would think it didn’t connect in some way
Finished Views.
This album continues to be mildly infuriating. To start with the positives, I think it starts off pretty strongly. Keep the Family Close is one of my favorite intros he’s ever done. U With Me? and Feel No Ways are some of his best ever songs. 40’s production & touch is magical all over the album. I like how dedicated to Toronto this album is. And I think the R&B, pop, and dancehall stuff all would legitimately make for a great album.
Which leads me to the negatives. To start, the rapping. This is the first project of Drake’s career where the rapping takes a noticeable dip in quality and backseat to his other genre ventures. All of the rap cuts on here sound undercooked and/or like weaker rehashes of previous songs that he’d already made up to that point. The best one imo is probably Still Here, which is a pretty fun record. Next, the sequencing, I think the pacing of this album is borderline abysmal. That issue starts for me at Redemption, which might be the most boring song in his discography to me, and doesn’t really settle until the end of the album. I’ve never really bought into the whole “seasons” concept, it always felt tacked on and not a fully realized idea to me. Last negative, is that Drake himself sounds very defensive on the album, which makes sense considering this was one year after the Meek beef, but it doesn’t really lend to a satisfying listen upon repeat listens. This is his first album where to me it feels like he’s trying to convince everyone else of his position rather than just asserting that that’s where he is. 6/10
All that yapping just say Views a classic
bruh said they got rattlesnakes, cobras, anacondas and HOV snake
