Raw, hard-hitting, incredibly lyrical. Still sounds fresh and modern, this could’ve dropped today and it wouldn’t have sounded out of place at all. That opening 6 song stretch is a challenger for the best stretch on any Drake project ever. I do see what he means when he always says that they cut corners on this tape and that’s why it’s not really considered a studio album, the second half isn’t as undeniable as the first half is. Still, the great stuff on here is great enough to make up for it, also I really would have loved to hear what the DJ Drama version would’ve been, that would’ve made it even crazier! 8/10
