This makes no sense to me. What narrative would he be changing exactly, by doing what sounds like a very similar album to almost all of his recent solo albums?

The people hating on Drake aren't saying he can't make pop songs or rage songs anymore, or that he doesn't have his place in those genres, quite the opposite. IMO, Drake wouldn't be changing any narratives, he would be confirming them instead.

At the end of the day, if that's the music that Drake feels inspired to do, then that's all that matters. He'll do what he feels is best for him at the moment. But if he's expecting that to change people's narratives and/or opinions, he's dead wrong.

It is dumb to try and please critics anyway.

    F*** em.

Drake always delivers great albums. They always age well. The real test of quality that only time can tell.

So a bunch of cry arses gonna say their usual stuff when the album hits? No big deal.

You just troll and say nonsense and then say you’re mad when people call you a dumb loser lol. Rinse and repeat. You got a family man

Then he wouldn’t put yeat on here. Simple and plain

I genuinely don’t get what y’all aren’t understanding. Yeat is just a gateway to the younger TikTok crowd. By bringing Yeat in, Drake is pulling in a subculture that normally doesn’t even listen to him and adding them to his own demographic

I thought the big issue with drake is that they do not age well

Not gonna expose what part of the album rollout I’m tied to or what department I’m in. I’m not some top-level exec or anything, but I’m definitely in a place where a lot of info moves through, and I’m cool with people across a few other teams.

I don’t know what the next drop is, but I do know it’s supposed to be the lead single. Also, “plottwist” is gonna be used in EP 4, but afaik it’s not one of the main records. More of a fan-service loosie type thing.

The last insider we have left

    What are y’all considering Views-esque?

Because the template of Views is the same template as Take Care, More Life, CLB, and FATD, just to varying degrees of quality

A mix of trending rap, R&B, pop, some type of world/island sound, and around 20ish tracks

Yeah, because if an artist doesn’t evolve, they eventually become that legacy act the kids only know because their parents play them.
