Think this is the correct list tbh. A few hovering around the rim to me. I’ll call Views a classic but that’s more of it being popular and potentially the last hip hop album to sell 1M first week but certainly think the quality alone doesn’t merit the status

I’m taking Views over sfg and iyrtitl tbh and it’s not even close. Only take care, scorpion n nwts compare imo

I don’t rate Views highly at all because his rapping on that album was terrible but the impact that album has is undeniable. When people talk about music in 2016 they are almost always referring to that album. Can’t believe it’ll be 10 years tomorrow

I’ll never forget hearing U With Me? for the first time and hearing him interpolate the leaked VFT6 intro

I look at Drake’s discography sort of similar to how I view MJ’s, ironically

Off the Wall/Thriller/Bad & Take Care/NWTS/IYRTITL are the classic albums

Dangerous/History/Invincible & Views/Scorpion/CLB are the good-to-decent albums that aren’t necessarily classics but still have iconic singles and some of their best songs on them

That’s the beautiful think about music we’re all welcome to our own opinions it’s hard to ubiquitously place classic titles on subjective art so when I’m speaking beyond just myself I try to take as much information I can into consideration so that’s how I got my list of them

2016 will always be franks year for me, two classics back to back like that, idc who sold what, what singles were poppin, what Frank did that year was monumental

2016 was a great year for music. I wish I appreciated the time I had to really listen to everything that dropped that year. S*** we had Beyoncé, Frank, Rihanna, Solange tske me back to my youth when I had nothing but time

Insane year for sure, I was a new dad so I didn’t really bask in it, but it’s crazy how spoiled we were

It’s the album that defined 2016 and it has aged amazingly well. He somehow managed to make Take Care part 2 but completely different.

What terrible rapping are you talking about? Better not say 9 cuz that’s top 5 on there

Every rap track on there tbh. I felt like he was going through the motions on every track. I know what Meek did affected him mentally on that project so I’ll give him a pass for that. But he didn’t really get into his bag until the Views outro. The R&B records are elite though. They do a lot of heavy lifting

The energy was palpable on that verse man. This is why I can’t excuse the monotone flow he’s way too versatile for that. Him basically screaming “A LOT OF NIGGAS CUT THE CHECK SO THEY CAN TAKE THIS FLOW” is just

The quality of this album will be in direct correlation with how many OZ songs are on there. Even if it’s just a few it shows Drake is not taking this album seriously
